Alan was my partner and best friend for 19 years. He was my right arm and i miss him so much We met at the bingo hall where he worked and we hit it off straight away.He had a fantastic sense of humour and could make me smile even when i was in a bad mood.He loved to be out and about as he used to put it and would get up on his day off from work or at weekends and say get up lazy its a lovely day and off we would go to the railway station, see whichever destination took our fancy and hop on a train.He took on the upkeep of my four children and sometimes had a hard time with them but in time they began to love and respect him.Alan had been ill in the January 07 he had been in hospital with a heart condition his heart was beating to fast and the hospital were trying to regulate this. they took him to theatre and stopped his heart then restarted it which worked. Alan recovered well and two weeks before he passed away he went back nto work. On the thursday 6th september i was at work and Alan came to the shop to do the shopping, he looked great,that evening i went home and my son who was visiting with his daughter told me that Alan had gone for a nap and that he had only been in bed for half hour so i left him for a hour then went up to wake him. As soon as i went into the room i knew something was wrong.Alan had passed away in his sleep.

The beauty of the single rose
